How Does AI use my Data?

We collect individual’s job titles, company name and address in order to better target our marketing efforts and provide you with the most relevant content possible.

We track web page visits of registered users in order to gauge interest in our events and to better target our events to appropriate customer segments.

Email Policy

We will only send you Academic Impressions emails related to the specific newsletters and/or topics you may be interested in.

We have 3 options for our Higher Ed Impact newsletters (daily, weekly and monthly); our default sign-up is typically the weekly edition and you may change your preferences in our preference center at any time. In addition, we may send you occasional invitations to participate in research questionnaires and to review the resulting data.

If you complete a form on our website, purchase and/or register for an event, we will send you future professional development opportunities that align with your interests and job function.

Your Data and Unsubscribing from Email Communications

We only collect and hold your email address in order to send you the information and services you have requested. You can unsubscribe at any time for any reason quickly and easily at our online preference center: http://dev.academicimpressions.com/preference-center/

That link also helps you change email addresses quickly and easily.

Every email sent will also include a simple mechanism to unsubscribe. If you ever have a problem with your subscription, feel free to contact us at info@academicimpressions.com

To further protect you and your data, AI has taken the following steps:

  • Any individual has the “right to be forgotten” – you may request, at any time, that we completely and permanently remove any data we may have about you.
  • If you are in the European Union, you can make a data access or data deletion request by emailing info@academicimpressions.com with “GDPR Request” in the subject line. Include your email address and the nature of your request. We will comply with your request within 24 hours.
  • Any individual may, at any time, contact us to request a full transcript of all the data we have collected about you.
  • Any personally identifying information we do collect is strongly encrypted and anonymized – only essential AI personnel will ever have access to your data.
