Todd Roberson

Todd Roberson teaches upper-division courses in corporate finance, international finance, and strategic business analysis and MBA-level accounting. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Professor Roberson chairs the Kelley Indianapolis Assessment Committee, directs the recruitment of high-ability students in the undergraduate program, and serves as a frequent on-screen and media spokesperson for the Indianapolis campus of the IU Kelley School of Business. Prior to his academic career, Todd was the creative director and CFO of a large advertising and communications agency. He studied finance at Indiana University Bloomington, management at Indiana Wesleyan University, and mathematics and education at the Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Margaret Ellis

Margaret Ellis acts as coordinator of recruiting and auditions for the Music Department at Augustana College, where she also teaches music theory and applied trumpet. Since coming to the college in 1995, she has worked with the Department of Music, admissions, and financial aid to coordinate recruiting efforts for the college. She has served on a panel for recruiting in small music units at the National Association of Schools of Music, and served as chair of the enrollment committee.

J. Joseph Hoey, Ed.D

Joseph’s career spans nearly two decades in the performing arts followed by over twenty-four years of experience in assessment, institutional effectiveness, accreditation, and planning. In his current role as vice president of accreditation relations and policy, his portfolio of work includes regional and specialized accreditation and policy related to accreditation. Prior to coming to Bridgepoint, Joseph spent many years at North Carolina Community College System, he established a university-wide assessment at NC State University, served as the founding director of the Office of Assessment at Georgia Tech, and established the Office of Institutional Effectiveness at Savannah College of Arts and Design. He provided leadership for the SACS accreditation efforts at Savannah College and most recently has been a guiding force in Ashford University’s accreditation by WASC. Joseph’s published research encompasses engineering program assessment, graduate program assessment, academic program review, building trust in assessment processes, alumni and employer feedback, validating student engagement research, community college transfer, and evaluation of online academic programs. He is co-author with Jill Ferguson and David Chase of the forthcoming volume, Assessment at Creative Institutions: Quantifying and Qualifying the Aesthetic, to be published in 2014 by Common Ground.

Amie Ader-Beeler

Amie Ader-Beeler has over twenty years of experience in business and education. Amie has filled leadership roles in Fortune 500 companies and non-profit innovative educational institutions. Her academic disciplines are management and leadership, and current research is related to leadership innovative in educational models. She is working towards the completion of her PhD in management and organizational leadership at Walden University.

Louise A. Douce, Ph.D.

Louise retired in 2012 as assistant vice president of student life at The Ohio State University; she supervised units dedicated to enhancing success of and removing barriers to student success. Dr. Douce is a specialist in college student mental health and has been active in college and university psychology and nationally active in the education and training issues for psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists and counselors. Dr. Douce is a pioneer in university threat assessment, chairing the OSU team for twenty-five years and providing crisis support for the campus. She has published and presented in the areas of career development for women, multicultural competency with a special focus on GLBT issues, supervision and training, and women’s issues. Dr. Douce currently serves on the board of directors of the American Psychological Association.

Nathan C. Chappell

Nathan oversees the major gifts, events, communications, and administrative support teams. During his time at UC San Diego, Nathan has led internal and external development communication efforts on a variety of fundraising strategies – including a $25 million matching gift campaign – and strategic communications efforts surrounding the announcement of a recent $100 million gift to the university. Nathan’s work in development communications has been recognized both locally and nationally in the areas of public relations, print and electronic advertising, video and special events. He is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and the Association of American Medical Colleges – Group on Institutional Advancement.

Kristin Bertell, MA, CFRE

Kristin, a 25 year veteran in the philanthropic field, is currently responsible for all fundraising activities related to generating support for Health Sciences, including clinical, research and academic programs, generating approximately $75M to $100M in private support annually. Prior to this position, she held leadership roles at The Greenwood Company, the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, Keck School of Medicine at USC, and California Lutheran University. She began her career at UCLA Health Sciences Development. Kristin is a graduate of UCLA and holds a master’s degree in communications management from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California. A certified fundraising executive with the National Society of Fund Raising Executives, she is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and the Southern California Association of Healthcare Development.

Daryl Weinert

Daryl oversees all administrative and business functions for the Office of Research including budget, finance, human resources, and communications. Additionally he is responsible for the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects and research administration. Prior to serving in this role, Daryl was the founding executive director of the University of Michigan’s Business Engagement Center (BEC). Under his leadership, the BEC grew rapidly and now oversees institutional relationships with more than 1,000 companies. A graduate of a combined degree program at U-M, Weinert holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics and a bachelor of science degree in industrial and operations engineering. Before joining U-M in 1999 as director of corporate relations in the College of Engineering, he was director of procurement strategy at Aon Corp. in Chicago.

Jennifer Faust

Jennifer has extensive experience in faculty affairs administration including strategic planning, labor relations and grievance handling, faculty policy, faculty and department chair training and development, and faculty personnel management. As a long-time faculty member and a department chair prior to becoming an academic administrator, Dr. Faust understands the unique context that academic departments present as well as the value of tenure and the longevity and stability of the academic “workforce.” Jennifer has presented workshops and seminars to faculty members, department chairs, and academic administrators from institutions across the U.S., on topics from “Active Learning in the College Classroom” to “Handling Complaints 101: What Every Department Chair Needs to Know to Survive.” At her former institution, she founded the Academic Leadership Institute, which provided new and aspiring faculty, staff, and administrators with the tools needed to not only manage others but to lead them.

James M. Tweed

For the past eleven years James has served Lasell College, most recently as Dean of Undergraduate Admission. At Lasell, he has built a proven track record of enrollment success. In the last ten years, undergraduate enrollment has doubled and includes a wider demographic mix, a growing international student population, and a continued commitment to diversity. In addition, campus visits have increased exponentially, the academic reputation has strengthened, technology is infused into all enrollment services, financial aid is leveraged strategically, and the college remains student focused and fiscally responsible. James previously served as the associate director of admission at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island.
