Sarah Blouch

Sarah Blouch presides over CampusParc LP, the entity formed to manage university parking concessions—including the transaction recently closed at The Ohio State University. Prior to moving to CampusParc in September, Sarah was the executive director of Transportation and Parking Services at The Ohio State University for 17 years. In this role, Sarah oversaw the development and implementation of the long- and short-term campus transportation network , including campus traffic patterns, traffic signals, wayfinding signage, and the development, promotion, and operation of alternative transportation options. During her years at OSU, new parking programs were developed and implemented; campus transit doubled; and six new garages were designed and built incorporating new design techniques and operating ideas. She has been working in the parking and transit industry since 1980.

Wayne Hewitt and Adrian Sallis

Ted Hattemer

At OSU, Ted leads a team providing expertise in all areas of communication technology including web, mobile, social media, electronic communications, digital content creation, and digital/interactive strategy in support of university advancement goals and Ohio State’s mission. Hattemer has led web and digital communications at Ohio State since 1999 and has worked in higher education communications since 1993. Ted has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio State and is a frequent presenter for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, District Five.

Douglas Eder, Ph.D.

Doug is Emeritus at SIUE and formerly served in higher academic administration at Arizona State University and the University of North Florida. Most recently he held the interim title of “Assessment Coach” at Purdue. Doug was first a “pure” faculty member in medical physiology and biophysics and came into assessment at its beginnings in the 1980s. At SIUE, he midwifed the nationally recognized Senior Assignment and has subsequently visited over 135 institutions of higher learning to assist with issues in assessment and re-accreditation. He served as Visiting Distinguished Scholar at Hamilton College, continues to work with institutions of higher learning, and presents and publishes in both his academic discipline and in assessment.

Amy Smith

Amy will join us to co-teach one session in the program highlighting assessment software considerations and options. ExamSoft is a market-leading assessment learning and analytics company that helps schools more efficiently create and administer embedded assessments and generate actionable data to measure and improve student learning outcomes. Her previous experience as an adjunct faculty member serves her well in understanding her clients’ goals and challenges. In her free time, Amy volunteers to help drive experiential learning projects based upon data analytics to promote learning outcomes and improve college readiness of Dallas ISD students.

Kathrine Bailey

Kathrine teaches and coordinates lecture capture techniques and technologies for the Center for Extended and Distance Education. She is the administrator for iTunes U at APSU as well as other lecture capture and distribution services for Austin Peay. Kathrine specializes in engagement technologies and is the author of the Multimedia and Virtual Worlds Blog (http://kitkatbailey.blogspot.com). She is a member of MERLOT, USDLA, EDUCAUSE, Sloan-C, and the Tennessee Board of Regents Mobilization Team. She has also been selected to judge the SIIA CODiE Awards.

Michael Tullier

Michael Tullier has overseen higher education strategic and development communications for more than a decade. This has included research communications for a multi-constituency research consortium, college-level alumni relations and development communications, and currently, all aspects of university-level development communications and marketing for Auburn University’s Office of Development. A Louisiana native, Michael began his nearly 20-year public relations career in the nonprofit sector after earning a bachelor’s in mass communications from LSU. He continued this work while and after earning a master’s in public administration from Auburn. After leading both state and regional public relations associations, he earned the Accredited in Public Relations, or APR, credential in 2003. His advocacy on behalf of public relations accreditation led to national volunteer roles chairing the APR-granting Universal Accreditation Board and later led APR-marketing efforts for the Public Relations Society of America.

Betsy Robertson

Betsy Robertson has edited Auburn Magazine, Auburn University’s flagship alumni publication, since March 2005. During that time, she and her team have received more than a dozen national and regional awards for their work from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. Betsy also oversees all constituent communication for the Auburn Alumni Association, from print collateral to ebroadcasts, websites and social media. A native of Gainesville, GA, Betsy began her writing and editing career as a daily newspaper reporter and has served as a freelance news writer for CNN.com. She has worked in higher-education publications and public relations for 19 years, including stints at Georgia State University in Atlanta, where she oversaw that institution’s alumni magazine as well as its media relations team, and at Kennesaw State University, where she served on the public relations staff.

Andrea Petrie

Andrea has more than eleven years of event planning and fundraising experience. Andrea recently changed roles at Marquette, where she was previously the director of the affinity-based giving team. In that role, she led a team of three that was responsible for Marquette’s alumni reunion giving program, affinity giving, parent programming and fundraising, faculty and staff giving campaign, and student philanthropy programming. She also met with approximately 120 donors and volunteers throughout the year and managed an annual portfolio of 100 constituents. In her current role, she primarily focuses on the fundraising priorities of the College of Nursing at Marquette.

Julie A. Selander

Julie Selander has worked in higher education administration and finance for over 24 years. Prior to Julie’s current role as the director of the one stop student services office and university veterans services at the University of Minnesota, she collaborated with her colleagues to develop the “One Stop” model, providing seamless and integrated student services in the areas of enrollment, registration, financial aid, billing, and student accounts receivable. She is also a part-time instructor in the organizational leadership, policy, and development department at the University of Minnesota and has taught strategic customer relationship management and customer service training for the past three years. Julie presents frequently on various topics related to higher education student services and has written several articles for publication, including a chapter for NACUBO’s Student-Centered Financial Services: Innovations That Succeed. Julie has also consulted with other colleges and universities assisting them with realizing their goals related to organizational development and planning for an integrated student services model and customer service training for student services professionals.
