At Ohio University Dining Services Rich manages revenues of $35.8 million and an expense budget of $25.6 million. He is responsible for day to day operations of 4 dining halls, three c-stores, all budgets, cost analysis, marketing, large equipment purchasing, hiring, overseeing the HACCP program, and training programs for 165 full-time cooks and custodians, 40 management/staff and over 1,000 student employees. Rich also serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of NACUFS and chair of the Finance Committee. He has presented 36 interest sessions at various professional conferences on the topics of finance, employee training, internships, student manager programs, and HACCP. Rich has worked in the food service industry for 30 years and has 27 years of progressively responsible management experience. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service Management and Dietetics and his Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Food Science both from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Scott began his career with personal visits and then moved into direct mail, the phone program, and ultimately online fundraising. After almost nine years with Allegheny College, he became the director of annual funds for Washington and Jefferson College. In a little more than a year at W&J, he increased dollars raised by more than 25% through the creation and introduction of a leadership society. Scott then spent four years at American University, where he increased the alumni participation rate by more than 50%. He has since formed a working laboratory with his program at St. John’s, providing opportunities to test many different ideas and approaches in data mining. Scott also serves as senior vice president for donor dynamics at HEP Development Services.
For the past 27 years, Kathy has had the pleasure of leading teams to create transformative fundraising strategies within higher education, healthcare, and non-profit organizations. Jon has been in his current role since July, 2019. Prior to that, he was Associate Vice President at DePaul University in Chicago, for seventeen years. He has over 35 years of experience in enrollment management and admissions, and has worked at a wide range of colleges and universities, from non-selective to highly selective, and from very small to very large. He has special interest in data visualization and the appropriate application of corporate strategy to higher education, and is the author of three blogs—one on higher education data, one on important trends and topics in admission and enrollment management, and one focusing on Oregon higher education. Jon is an Iowa native, and holds a BA in English and an MS in Marketing and Management.
