Dr. John Bowman
Vice Provost
Frostburg State University
Over the last 12 years, Dr. John Bowman has led international education at Frostburg State University. His efforts have successfully established partnerships in China, Taiwan, and Vietnam that have internationalized the Frostburg campus and promoted the university’s global presence. His areas of academic interest include international relations theory, United States foreign policy, and national security studies. He holds an undergraduate degree in education from The Ohio State University, a master’s degree in diplomacy from the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky, and a doctorate in international affairs from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh.
