Our resources help faculty across tenure and career tracks to maximize their impact, engagement, and satisfaction—the best antidotes to exhaustion, burnout, and attrition. Key to this support is helping faculty build interpersonal and leadership skills that fuel their success as researchers and scholars, engaging and impactful instructors, effective mentors and advisors, and leaders in their disciplines and institutions.
How We’re Different
Our Faculty Development and Leadership Curriculum supports faculty at all stages and disciplines. Faculty gain interpersonal skills that form the foundation for endeavors related to research and scholarship, promotion and tenure, student engagement, career pathway exploration, and well-being.
Our Mid-Career Mentor focuses on the midcareer stage. As faculty enter the mid-career stage, institutional support wanes and responsibilities increase. We offer comprehensive resources for those in this career stage to maintain momentum, increase productivity, explore leadership, and discover new pathways.
Career faculty, often called non-tenure-track faculty, comprise the majority of the professoriate, yet policies, procedures, and practices often exclude them. Our resources provide support for the unique contexts of career faculty’s needs and career trajectories.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion is interwoven into all that we do. We understand that you cannot effectively teach a classroom without emotional intelligence. Or communicate without cultural intelligence. Or navigate conflict without understanding bias and privilege. We help to underscore diversity, equity, and inclusion in all of our interpersonal, career, and leadership trainings.
Faculty are busy, and it's hard for them to engage in time-consuming programs. Our programming is designed to meet faculty where they are, featuring microlearning delivered to their email every week, as well as self-directed options, personalized coaching, and customized programs that we can bring to you.
Faculty Can Engage with our Curriculum in a Few Ways:
1. In Your Inbox: Mid-Career Mentor
The Mid-Career Mentor helps mid-career faculty to maintain momentum, increase productivity, explore leadership, and discover new pathways in their careers. The Mid-Career Mentor is delivered weekly and will provide bite-sized insights and learning to help faculty at this crucial stage of their careers.
2. Take Our Course: Navigating the Mid-Career Journey
"Now what?" is the question many mid-career faculty ask themselves, whether they are post-tenure or career faculty. Yet, many find increasing demands at this stage leave them little time to answer this question. This cohort-based, 9-week course is designed to give mid-career faculty the space and community to reflect on and design an intentional and strategic pathway through their midcareer.
3. Self-Serve: Resources for All Faculty
Our Faculty Development and Leadership Curriculum supports faculty at all stages and disciplines. Faculty gain interpersonal skills that form the foundation for endeavors related to research and scholarship, promotion and tenure, student engagement, career pathway exploration, and well-being.
