Overview
Both university and program-level accrediting organizations are increasingly placing focus on diversity in their requirements, but that criteria can feel ambiguous, and many are still uncertain of how to ensure that their programs comply. However, while there are a number of accrediting bodies and their diversity expectations vary, the vast majority do address issues of curriculum, and many explicitly identify diversity skills and competencies that students should exhibit as a part of their overall learning.
This two-part series will demystify the process of reviewing, assessing, and including diversity in campus curricula. By participating in this event, you will learn how to evaluate opportunities for embedding accreditation requirements into curricula and how to develop courses that include diversity concepts with intentionality.
How it Works
This series has been designed to help campus assessment personnel and classroom faculty make connections between how their work, both within and outside of the classroom, is critically important to the success of the accreditation process. It consists of two live events, taking place on March 15 and March 29, respectively. Each live event will include opportunities for rich dialogue and other attendee engagement. You may choose to sign up for one or both sessions depending on positionality and/or level of interest.
Members: Login to access both of these trainings for free! Not yet a member? Use promo code dei-accreditation-bundle to receive $200 off when you register for both trainings.
